Hat Yai tourist city in South of Thailand

Hat Yai is a city in southern Thailand. Surprisingly, there is a considerable lack of attractions, yet the tourist population is immense. A large amount of hotels and other tourist resources are available in Hat Yai, as well as a few worth-while services that should be experienced.

Getting to Hat Yai is certainly no problem- buses, trains, and airplanes all lead directly to the city. Motorcycle taxis are interesting to use as transportation within the city, although the bargaining should be done before the ride is taken to avoid high fares. The motorcycle taxi is a unique way to experience the city sights, and is a nice change from the sea of yellow taxi cars that flood western cities.
The food in Thailand can be a great experience, and Hat Yai is one example. Hat Yai offers an immense amount of street food, that is, food that can be bought straight from the street. Since many tourists visit the location, many hotels and restaurants cater to their specific needs and likes. Seafood is a specialty among the city, as most tourists will see from the amount of seafood vendors lined up and down the streets.
There are several attractions and sights, although there aren’t as many in other cities in Thailand. Going to the Songkhla Zoo is a great experience for family trips, or tourists who enjoy seeing exotic animals. Chinese temples are also a treat to view, as the architecture and designs are intricate and unconventional. Lastly, looking at the Tone Nga Chang Waterfall is good for those who have a deep respect for nature, and the beauty that nature can hold.
The beer in Hat Yai is notably cheaper than other surrounding areas, so pubs and bars are worth a visit. Bars and pubs in Hat Yai can be very entertaining- as some offer disco bars, and others offer live sounds and attractions. The nightlife of Hat Yai is very desirable, and if all else fails, a game of pool can be found in just about every bar in Hat Yai.
As earlier mentioned, Hat Yai caters to the lodging needs of tourists. The common belief that hotels in and around Thailand are small as closets isn’t necessarily true, and most will come with basic bathroom functions and fans. Food can be ordered through hotels, which makes the experience easier on the tourist looking to relax in peace.
Hat Yai is a great destination spot for tourists, although there is somewhat of a lack in attractions. Nevertheless, the city is very easy to get to through most transportation methods, and the motorcycle taxis are a joy to experience. The level of accommodation the city offers for tourists is very welcoming, from catered food services to spacious hotel rooms. When boredom strikes, there is always the option of going to see the beauty of the surrounding lands, or even watching native animals at the Zoo. It isn’t the most exciting attraction in Thailand, but Hat Yai certainly will appeal to many tourists.
